Founded in 1957, GAZOCEAN is one of the oldest Marine Companies in the field of the transport by sea of liquefied natural gas. Its expertise is a result of more than fifty years of activity in this sector. GAZOCEAN has always been a pioneer in the use of innovative technologies in the highly specialized Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) shipping domain. GAZOCEAN is a subsidiary of the GDF SUEZ and NYK Line. Today, GAZOCEAN manages vessels fitted with innovative insulation tanks and efficient propulsion systems. Based on its operational experience, GAZOCEAN can offer consultancy, expertise and training services. About 200 people are now part of GAZOCEAN’s teams, aboard and ashore.

GAZOCEAN is ISO 9001-2008 certified, ISM certified (International Safety Management), ISPS Code (International Ship and Port Security) integrate in its quality and safety system, requirements of OCIMF-TMSA (Tanker Management and Self Assessment), NYK Line - NAV 9000 et ISO 14001.

GAZOCEAN ensures the existence of all necessary documentation and organises audits and training for emergency situations. GAZOCEAN defines the responsabilities and ensures the continuous skills development of both its crew and shore staff. GAZOCEAN has a constant aim to improve relations between shore and vessel in particular through the establishment of security plans with port infrastructure. The health and safety of the staff of GAZOCEAN, seafarers as well as shore staff, is a continual concern for GAZOCEAN, which ensures the proper implementation of health and safety regulations. Vessels managed by GAZOCEAN have a Green Passport which aims at the adoption of best practices throughout the full life cycle of the ship, from the design stage to the final voyage in order to environmentally manage any potentially hazardous goods included in the composition of its ships.
